Magento plug-in for Emarsys Integration (PHP)

Full synchronization of e-commerce data

Emarsys suite app is the data master for managing and sending efficient eMarketing campaigns. For this reason, all eCommerce data must be synchronized to Emarsys infrastructure. The Magento plug-in (PHP) seeks the full integration between marketers’ Magento webshops and Emarsys applications suite so to create accurate and effective marketing campaigns, including :

  • Contact synchronization (maintain up-to-date the contact databases)
  • eCommerce data synchronization (sales and customer behaviour)
  • Transactional mail integration (sending mails after a customer action, i.e. leaving without shopping)
  • Product catalog synchronization (to keep up-to-date products and offers)

JMALMO Neuro-analysis suite (MatLab)

Off-line (post recording) analysis suite of neural activity

This suite consists of a set of tools developed in MatLab to analyse neural recordings off-line from physiological experiments like detecting activity patterns, spike bursts and correlations between neurons. The result of this analysis suite is used to elaborate scientific conclusions and helps to resolve scientific questions.
The suite contains the following:

  • Spike Burst detector
  • Inter Spike Interval correlation
  • Event Cross correlation
  • Network Builder
  • Granger Utility
  • Channel, Event & Recording visor
  • MC Rack event detector

MR compatible Armbot for brain imaging experiments (C++)

Development of the driver and an app

One of the most extended brain imaging techniques is fMRI, in which the protagonist is a magnetic resonance scanner, creating a huge magnetic field (see here how strong it could be). For carrying out neuromotor studies using fMRI techniques normally require an arm-bot to simulate environments by applying force fields. This arm-bot must be MR compatible (normally pneumatic driven). My master thesis consisted in completing an unfinished driver (in C) and the development of an app (C++) to schedule the trials program for any experiment including that arm-bot.

Game of life simulation (predator/prey version) (MatLab)

With parallel computing techniques

One of my most favorite researching projects ever has been a simulation of the game of life (predator/prey version) by using parallel computing techniques in MatLab. The game consisted in a group of predators and preys with a set of capabilities (smell, velocity, sight, etc…) that they used to survive in a confined world (a matrix of NxM cells) with obstacles. The first aim of the project was trying to find which agent’s capabilities of each type made the simulation to find a balance, so, neither predators nor preys get extincted throughout the simulation.
